Pop of Color Baby Shower

A few months ago, our family and friends threw us the sweetest baby shower!

My in-laws planned the whole thing and it was such a special moment for me and Patrick. My only request was for a co-ed baby shower so we could celebrate together as first time parents with all of our family and friends! Luckily, our lovely venue RSVP Event Space was able accommodate our party of 50+ people and it was perfect. Oh and in case you’re wondering, we announced our baby’s name at the shower — Everett Scott <3

There wasn’t really a theme but I loved that there were pops of color sprinkled throughout the decor elements. For our dessert table, I made my signature linen banner and my friend Tesia of Simply Wild Party made this incredible balloon garland to frame it. I love the colors she chose and the asymmetrical design looked amazing! We were gifted the Petite Prince book set, which made their debut on the dessert table.

The tables were set up in a communal style so everyone could interact with one another. Patrick and I had citrus fruits and greeneries for our reception tables on our wedding day so we added those elements for the baby shower as well! Each table also had a charcuterie spread for guests to enjoy. Also, doesn’t it just add to the table decor?!

One of my favorite details was this wall where we hung Patrick’s old baby clothes and toys. Everything hanging on the shelf is Patrick’s except the overall and onesie on the far right side, which will be for Everett. It was not planned at all but I LOVE that they have matching baby overalls! Our friends gifted us that piece and I thought it was so adorable how closely it resembled Patrick’s vintage jumper. When baby E arrives, I will definitely put it on him and see if it fits!

& of course, it wouldn’t be a party without having live art! I hired our Chasing Linen team to perform live art at our baby shower and it was so cool being able to experience it as a guest for the first time! I loved being able to see our family and friends’ reaction when they received their custom watercolor portraits in person too.

Outside of the beautiful decor, good food and fun favors, we absolutely LOVED being able to spend quality time with our favorite people. We played some games, opened gifts and just hung out together. I am so thankful for our community for loving on us and baby E is so loved already!

Thank you to our incredible friendors for spoiling us and making this day extra special! If you’re looking for vendors for your special occasion, I would highly recommend these lovely people <3
