Submit an inquiry form with the total number of guests you would like painted and date you’d like to receive them by. Keep in mind, we count by person, regardless of whether they are painted as an individual, couple or a small group (max 4 person per portrait). Once inquiry is submitted, we will be in touch shortly confirming our availability & provide you with an estimate and turnaround details.

Once you have booked your Mini Portrait Package, we will create a custom folder where you can upload your photos along with a guide to help you in pick out the best photos of your guests. We recommend finding photos of your guests through Instagram, Facebook or the good ol’ camera roll in your phone!

Once all your photos have been uploaded, sit back and relax while our artists begin painting your guests! We pay attention to each individual’s hair, skin tone and outfit. Once the portraits are finished, we will package them up and send it straight to your door! We will provide you with a tracking # of your order so you know what to expect. Then you just have the fun decision of how you are going to display your lovely minis at your event: seating chart, party favors - the possibilities are endless!

Mini Portrait Packages FAQ

What are mini portraits?

Mini Portraits are hand painted watercolor portraits of your guests that are painted in our signature faceless style. Since they are bust & up, the portraits will showcase the individual's skin tone, hair, and top they are wearing. The 4.5x6 portraits are painted on luxe watercolor paper and are enclosed with a clear sleeve. You can also add calligraphy to further personalized your portrait. Otherwise, all portraits have the name of the individual(s) written on the backside so you know who's who!

How do Mini Portrait Packages work?

Once you've booked your Mini Portrait Package, we will send you a custom folder where you can upload photos of your guests. We will also send you a photo guide to help you find the best photo references. Once the photos are submitted, our artists will work on hand painting each one!

How do I know what photos to include for my photo references?

Upon booking, we will provide you with all the information including photo tips, labeling instructions and folder to upload your photo references. If you have any questions throughout the process, we are always here to help answer those!

How do I display my mini portraits?

Mini portraits make great seating charts or place cards! There are so many different ways to display your mini portraits such as:

  • Hung on a wall as a seating chart display
  • Taped onto an acrylic board for a clean look
  • Placed in card holders on a table
  • Placed on the reception table
  • Tucked away in an envelope to send as a thank you note!

What is your typical turnaround time for mini portraits & how early should I inquire for my event?

We highly recommend inquiring earlier rather than later, especially if you have a higher guest count. Our typical turnaround time once we have received your photo references is roughly 1 month per 50 persons painted. Please also keep in mind that you will need time to gather all of your photo references together to submit them for this project as that can take some time as well.

I have a small/large guest count - would a Mini Portraits Package work for me?

Yes! Because our pre-painted minis are done ahead of time, they are perfect for whatever size event you are having. Keep in mind, each portrait is hand painted so please provide us with ample time to complete your project.

Why are they faceless? Can you paint one with facial expressions?

Similar to portraits painted at our live art events, our mini portraits are painted in our signature faceless style. We are ALL about details and are very attentive to the coloring, hairstyle, posture and clothing which make the individuals recognizable and distinct.

What sizes do they come in? Can you make it a specific size?

Our mini portraits are 4.5x6 in size and are painted on luxe watercolor paper.

Am I able to update my guest count once my project has been booked?

Your package is booked at a rate based on your estimated guest count & your agreement that you will have at least that minimum number of persons to be painted. While we can decrease your number without editing your package price, we can sometimes increase your number if we have the availability. Due to the turnaround time needed to paint your portraits ahead of time, it will depend on how many additional guests you would like to add so if you are wanting to increase your guest count, please let us know as soon as possible.

What type of outfit should I wear for my portrait?

For outfits, we'd recommend clothing with patterns or pops of color. For wedding dresses, we pay extra attention to the intricate details so they stand out from the white background.

How long will it take to receive my portrait?

Our turnaround time varies based on the total number of persons in your guest count. Typically it takes about 1-2 weeks per 20 persons total. Keep in mind, this turn aroundtime is based on the date your photos are submitted & approved, not on when you inquire.
