Monogram + Vellum Wedding Invitation Suite

For Emily and David's wedding, we wanted to create something feminine and simple while adding a touch of playful.

Their wedding venue was set at a beautiful, modern venue in Los Angeles called Milwick. The area where the ceremony is held has a ton of greeneries and palm leaves so we wanted to incorporate that into the suite. We mixed in banana leaves, areca palms and fern for added texture against soft cream and blush florals, all hand-painted in watercolor of course!

We loved that both the bride and groom's last name starts with a G so we used that monogram as the focal point of the suite. We had a cursive g for a simple crest for the invite as well as the return address design on the envelope.

Since the design was rather simple, we added a layer of vellum for a modern twist. This added visual interest and was good for practical reasons. With the vellum layover, we were able to keep the wedding info by itself. Under the vellum, we created a floral monogram (also in letter G), which was a keepsake art print for guests to keep. The monogram added a pop of color while the vellum layover added texture and a modern flair.

To top off the suite, we sealed all the pieces with light peachy blush envelopes. The guests' names were calligraphed in gray ink to match the return address and the rest of the invite suite!

Hope you enjoyed seeing this suite as much as I loved designing them.
